California Company Looking at Geothermal Plants as a Lithium Source

California's Simbol Materials is taking a novel approach to mining lithium: the company extracts lithium brine from the wastewater of geothermal energy plants. The company has mined a few hundred tons of lithium, but has not yet developed commercial scale facilities, according to Hydrogen Fuel News.

Nemaska Lithium Announces Two Core Patent Applications Published

Nemaska Lithium (TSXV:NMX) announced the publishing of two of its core patent applications. The first covers Nemaska's technology for producing lithium hydroxide from lithium sulphate via electrolysis, as well as its impurity removal systems, while the second patent application covers the transformation of lithium hydroxide into lithium carbonate.

Lithium Corporation to Sell Properties to PATHION Inc.

Lithium Corporation (OTCQB:LTUM) has entered an asset purchase agreement to sell its interests in the BC Sugar flake graphite property and the San Emidio and Fish Lake Valley lithium – brine properties, to PATHION, Inc.. Also, the company announced that Tom Lewis will step down as president and Brian Goss, currently a director of Lithium Corporation, will become president, secretary, and treasurer of the company.
